So obvi everyone is all about the healthy eating and lifestyle changes that come with the New Year. It’s almost like a reset button that most of us are excited about hitting. I love this time of year and get super amped about setting goals and achieving them! I get a new revived buzz of energy and I am ready to go!

A big part of my health transformation was becoming educated. Most people aren’t intentionally trying to eat unhealthy, they just don’t know. That was totally the case for me! If you would have asked me at the time, I would have told you that I thought by eating sugar-free/ fat-free/ diet I was doing what was best for my body.

A couple of the main ways I became educated (which also sparked a huge passion) was through documentaries and books! There are so many books and documentaries out there that I wanted to share my personal favorites with you guys!

To start, Documentaries! Most, if not all, can be found on Netflix, so get ready for a binge!

My favorite one, even if you don’t watch anything else is Hungry For Change. This one was life changing for me!!! Fed Up is not on Netflix, but you can purchase/rent on Amazon!

Food Documentaries

I love reading! It’s something I need to do more of and make a priority for sure, but here are some of my favorite books on health. Michael Pollan is freaking brilliant so I have read a good amount of his books! If you read nothing else, read his book’s In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto and Food Rules! Food Rules is awesome because it’s a small little book filled with a bunch of little tips that help you remember healthy things!

I added The Relaxations & Stress Reduction Workbook because it’s an amazing book and although it doesn’t talk specifically about food, if you are stressed all the time you will make poor food choices and experience health issues!

FotorCreated Check these out and let me know what you think! Also if you if you have books or documentaries you like, please let me know!!!
